Kriti Art Gallery Varanasi


Kriti Art Gallery, brainchild of Navneet Raman came into existence in 2006. The gallery exhibits all form of traditional and contemporary art and is open for Indian and international artists who want to portray their work on visual, journalistic and new media medium. Artists like Abhinav Goswami, Archna Singh, Beatrix Reinhardt, Lambodar Naik among others had their artistic exhibitions in this gallery.

The art also organizes Artists in Residence program, where artists from different parts of the world congregate in the centre for a set number of days to interact and exchange their ideas of art and sculpture.

The gallery also supports on the making and marketing of art projects that are mostly related to traditional handicrafts such as silk weaving, stone works, pottery and metal works. The gallery also organises workshops on music, pottery, painting and photography.

Banaras Art Gallery was established in 1988 to promote the creative and indigenous works of tribal and urban artists in the city. The gallery presently has four chains in the city and displays 50,000 artistic pieces churned by painters, photographers and sculptures of the city.

Jnan Pravaha – Centre for Cultural Studies and Research


Bimla Poddar, founded Jnana Pravaha , a centre for cultural studies in 1996. Since then, the centre has showcased numerous art and sculptures of budding artists in the country. Artworks on gold, silver, bronze and stones are for sale in the gallery.

Indian Carpet Expo Varanasi


Indian Carpet Expo is an annual event in Varanasi that takes place usually in months of October. The expo is organised by Carpet Export Promotion Council, Government of India. It is the perfect platform for all carpet buyers around the world to establish and generate business opportunities. India is regarded as one of the finest carpet manufacturers of the world and the expo gives an opportunity for all big carpet, druggets, rugs weavers to showcase their talent under one big roof. Carpet producers from Mirzapur, Agra, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Srinagar, Panipat and others have their stalls in the expo. The expo is usually held at Dr. Sampoornanad Sanskrit University Ground.
